Yea I like the faded pearls, the shrinking wrap that turns into cracks, the strainers that won't stay engaged, the edges that have weathered 57 seasons....what else..o the peeling chrome don't forget...

It's math. Read my post. You don't have to practice-it- as much- as- FIRST understand- it. Listen to better music. Mentally analyse it. don't have to be at the practice pad. You'll get it.

Maybe in the snare. Because a Used Gretsch wood US snare is less $ than a new one.
Same for WFL Ludwig 6.5s; less $ than a new one.

Pretty normal life here- soundwise- stopped playing in rock bands around 84- worked in garages; car garages all my life nothing unusual as far as "sound intake".
Then a pain in the back of the neck...
