If multiple kit restorations are in you future. Get a tumbler and ultrasonic. Hours saved over old school polishing.

My thinking on coating the inside is wasn't done at the factory. I won't buy a drum that has been interior sealed, but that is me. Hope it goes well.

On coated heads solvents are just going smear the ink into the coating. Better off to lightly sandpaper the logo off and feather edges. A few light layers of white primer. Stamp or put the new image...

Cool, That is a brand new stamp. They would wear down pretty fast on wood/not cleaned hence fuzzy dates most of the time. Don't think any of my closed S badge snares are stamped.

2.5 Litre model. Solution yes, just depends what is going in. Best to not mix materials. Rusted steel will leave a mess on chrome lugs if in same batch.

I've had a Harbour Freight unit for 2 years. Works best after bits have already been pre-cleaned soak/tumbler etc... Tension rods/strainers/lugs it gets the deep rust on such. Bonus, Wife...

Don't even spend time polishing the nickle. Any buyer would rather start with original. Nickle polished in a vibrating tumbler then hand polished with aluminum polish is stunning and has more warmth...
