Re: Humble Collection of Old A, Italian, and misc.

Re: Question for Rogers experts

Yeah, there's a guy on DFO who's trying to trade a Fullerton WMP 14x18 bop kit for a Camco.

Re: Question for Rogers experts

You see, this is why the first pic causes confusion, because you claim it comes with two CoB non-Dynas, yet the picture clearly shows a CoB Dyna.

Re: Question for Rogers experts

CoB non-dynas would be Powertones, awesome 8 lug snares. I assume your first pic is a 'just like Johnny's kit' pic.

Re: 60's Rogers Floor Tom s/n label - markings?

Congrats on finding a Cleveland 16 to match your kit.

The DS is undoubtedly the initials of a previous owner.

And you can't accurately date a drum by the serials when Holiday is typed in....

Hey Mikey, that Rogers SGR b&b definitely looks to be a 16.

Re: Ludwig Tom Mount Question

I don't see how that extra hole could be factory. Someone at one point in time decided it needed a newer type of mount on the tom; at least it's covered by the original.

Re: 30-40s W&A Rose Pearl

Such an interesting tensioning design, with the double female outer sleeve. Was that the norm in this era?

Re: 80s Tama Superstar snare-8X14 Birch

yes, I'm a little confused by that snare. Superstars in black inside and out are usually thought of in the 84-87 timeframe, when the factory muffler phase was over. Also it looks like it originally...

Re: Rogers Question

I had no problem selling my 13 16 20 red onyx Dayton kit for $1500 on Reverb recently. It wasn't collector quality, but had no mods, holes, or other negatives. A Cleveland 22 kit would certainly...

Re: Rogers Tower

That price is quite reasonable. Cleveland Rogers are the bullseye for targeting the very best of vintage American drum manufacturing. An excellent condition example in WMP is worth every bit of $600.

Re: Rogers Cleveland Powertone

If there are no extra holes, that is a very fair price. You can do a nearly even value swap for the right strainer.

Re: Rogers Black Onyx

I agree, Rogers are the best! Although I have my first Camco Oaklawn kit on the way; we'll see if I change my tune.

I have a very nice Dayton Red Onyx 12 14 20, and the wrap on it has a couple...
