It’s a great show!

I’ll...

Re: WTB: Very specific date stamped snare. . . .

I plan to do more selling. If I buy anything it’ll be a cymbal.

Too many drums and not enough time!

PS I would buy a nice 13” brass piccolo if I found one for a decent price. Yamaha of course!...

Re: Getting a tour of Zildjian today!

Wow what a day!

Was that the legendary “vault” in your picture? Looks like a lot of cymbals on shelves there...

I’m not crazy about them putting modern cymbals on Buddy’s kit. Why not leave the...

Re: pearls of steel...wisdom needed.

Pearl did manufacture in Taiwan, so it is possible it is pearl made, but as Mark pointed out, it most likely did NOT have a Pearl badge on it. CB-700 was one of several badges they used for entry...

Re: pearls of steel...wisdom needed.

Six lug drums are generally student or lower end models, so there may not be a lot of info floating around.

Re: Introduction and my BELOVED new maple kit!

It’s great to see a great kit fall into deserving hands. So many amazing ones get priced out of players hands, and end up unnplayed on a collectors shelf somewhere.

Enjoy them to the fullest as...

Re: Why Do Ludwig Drums Sound So Good

A big contributor to the sound, and it also affects guitar sound and pool cue feel, is the wood itself.

Old growth- big, fat old trees cut down after a hundred odd years- killed into boards and...

Re: A rookie question about tuning my Ludwig’s.

Getting back to this and although I tune one headat a time, I have both heads on the drum. Just like a rim mount vs a shell mount, the drum behaves differently with the mass of a rim and a head on...
