Well, I can't say what era but..........my 1968 Super Classic and Hollywood kits have scarf joint wraps and clear interiors and are the standard by which I judge all other drums.

On eBay, seller danalogusa does cymbal lathing and modification. He has done work for me and it was excellent. He is in California but shipping is reasonable.

You could always have someone trim the circumference of a 15" cymbal to match the Zyn. Very inexpensive service.

Blue Oyster Pearl is nothing like the vintage or the bowling ball version. It like a marriage between Oyster and Sky Blue Pearl.

Well, since you sold the other red sparkle Ludwig kit, I'd say go with the rockers and pocket a wad of cash. They would make a great kit to take to those gigs where conditions/situation point to...
