I haven't done this, but maybe glue the inlay on first then tape the inlay off and paint? Did you use spraycans or your own mix? Sorry for the trouble you had.

That is one nice looking kit!! I still prefer the glossy black with the inlay.
To me the natural doesn't let the kit stand out as much if you know what i mean. It is a cool wrap though!!

The waterbased cement I use is neoprene rubber based. I was wondering if they all were. Does it say anything on the can or jar? I would use the 3m also. I would think 99% of builders do nowadays.

I use contact adhesive often on the job. We tried to go 'Green" and use waterbase contact and the drying time was killing the jobs. Plus it does not adhere as well as solvent based IMO.Also if 2...
