They came out great! Too bad about the Slingerland lugs, but you obviously made them work. Those die-cast air vents were a good idea. I used those on my 1994 Slingerland "Spirit of America"...

The DFD lugs look like those originally used on the Maple Custom Absolute drums. As noted, the DFD lugs are shorter and might just work on the 6.5" deep shell without having to use them in an offset...

Hey Josh!

I'm enjoying everything about this restoration! Excellent job with the new edges and drilling. Where did you get the extra lugs? Are they still available from Yamaha?

Wow, 40 years old now! While it's not what many of us here consider "vintage", they still qualify due to age! I'd certainly like to see your progress in the conversion from concert toms...
