Re: How many mics???

I have been playing a lot of large outdoor venues lately with every drum, hi hat, and two overheads. Independent sound companies. Plus I am beginning to wonder if half these sound guys have a clue....

Re: Ludwig Blue Oyster Pearl 12,13,16,20

Nice set ! If your going to use those in a 60's band, stick with the Coated Ambassadors. I use them on batter and reso on my vintage Ludwig's. I personally would never use those oil filled heads....

Re: Ludwig Floor Tom Project

Here is something that may interest you. I have this 14" Rogers Eagle Badge parade drum. Single tension. Looks like it matches the bass drum. You could use it as a 14" floor or up tom.

Re: Seeking Opinion on Rewrapping Drums

I also just noticed that the original floor tom mount is not being used and someone has modded one. Looks like it is somehow connected to the bottom rim I think. Hopefully they didn't drill holes for...

Re: Fred Armisen... “Stand up for Drummers”

I thought it was ok. Some funny parts. I enjoyed seeing his collection. Trey Cool has really put on weight, but I can't throw stones in a glass house. I didn't even recognize Sheila E.

Re: Seeking Opinion on Rewrapping Drums

From what I can see. The pic I personally would leave it original. But it could look a lot different right at it in person. Looks cool, and has mojo to me.

Re: For you Slingy-heads

I believe they used 4 legs on their 18" floor toms. My Slingerland 18" floor has 4 legs. If that larger looking tom has 4 then it is a 18".
