Ludwig Black Oyster Floor AND Black Panther Bass

- Ludwig 16" 1960s Black Oyster Floortom
Ideally white interior, light fading ok

Ludwig Imperial Lugs (early 60s)

I am looking for Imperial lugs for an early 1960s COB Ludwig SuperSensitive Snare (the heavy ones). Need to be in VG condition.
Does anyone have some available? Would have to ship to Germany....

Most likely this is an Aluminium shell. Definitely not steel.
You could ask for weight of the drum to make sure.
A brass drum will weigh about 4,4 kg, an aluminum shell probably 3,5kg or so. Anyway...

Played her the other day, and she sounds really beafy, so different than my Ludaloy Supra...

These are great drums, no matter what the pic looks like ;-)

I have 2-3 drums with a 15***** serial, and always dated them to 1977, I guess that should be alright.

I have a 5" and a 6,5" BB which I both believe to be from 1978.
The serials are:
14 x 5 BB: 1711947
14 x 6,5 BB: 1878862

I also have 14x6,5 Ludaloy Supra with the Serial 1745630 that should...

Exactly, there's no B stamp. My 1978 BB doesn't have one either.

I also weight the naked shell which is 1970g.

Yes. The inside of the drum has a golden and reddish shimmer, but the reason for that surely is the plating process.
Shavings from a lug hole show a gold color.... that's what made me sure... hard...

Well my initial evidence was the weight. Would one Ludaloy shell be 1kg heavier than another ?!

I turn up to have a look at the drum kit and it turns out that it is an alright...
