Re: Skyrocketing Prices or Just Me?

I agree with BEC, it's about time! Prices are coming back to pre recession levels. Regarding Reverb, most of those listings have "Make Offer" buttons. Better to ask high, and take offers if you ask...

Re: Camco Oaklawn era

Damn fine! And my favorite sizes too!
Quit telling all of the vintage community the secret of the Camco's. Everybody will want them, and the supply is short!😋

Re: Shipping from Cold areas - Seeking Expert advice

To say the least, these old drums are fragile. No one knows what will happen with a major temperature swing like that with any given drum kit. Why take the chance? Wraps are plastic, drums are wood,...

Early 60's Camco Champagne Sparkle

A rare find indeed in this condition. 12, 16, 20 w/ matching snare drum. Original COB tall hoops, logo BD heads, amazing! If you're never experienced playing a set of these, I highly recommend it!

Re: 1959 George Way (Re-wrap)

Wow! Great price for a top of the vintage line kit! You are correct John, these won't last long, in fact, I think you're a bit light on the price!
Good luck, they will sell.

Re: 1920's Ludwig Set

I was watching that, but it was pick up only on the west coast.
Mid to late 20's on the snare drum, which probably is $600-700 alone.
Someone got a bargain!

Re: Repaint interiors and hoops verses not Opinions

Now, back to the subject:
60's Ludwig Jazzette, Mod Orange is underneath paint. Someone else ripped off the wrap on the 12, so it will have to be rewrapped. The 14 and 18:
Leave the paint on?
Wet...

Re: Repaint interiors and hoops verses not Opinions

Hey, no problems here. I was merely giving my opinion on the subject in question, and because it was begun from my listing, I was a little miffed at Gary for the comment in the original listing, but...

Re: Orphan bank

I think John from Texas Vintage Drums started "Drum Singles" on Facebook for this purpose. It is a page to find orphan drums only, both wanted and FS.
Check it out!

Re: Repaint interiors and hoops verses not Opinions

Personally, I think your both off base. It's O.K. to paint BD rims, but not an interior?
Where do you draw the line on that? So many drums were painted black on the interiors back in the day. Do you...

Re: Lugwig Club Date Red Sparkle - What to do

First, these are very desirable drums, especially a matching kit, which yours appears to be. Although not one of the rare colors, wonderful sounding drums. Frankly, I would take a set of these over...

Re: Ebay butchers sellers

I just recently landed a '69 Ludwig 13, 16, 18, 22 in Black Cortex. They were rough, but had potential for resto, and the price was right, and they came with a couple extra, non matching toms. I...
