Hello.

Anyone have an old Ludwig tom L arm they are willing to part with at a reasonable price? People on Ebay want $29 and up.

Either the one with one short leg, or the one with...

Re: Mystery bongos

DJ, are the “tear drop” lugs two-step with parallel lines running top to bottom? If so, the description sounds like the vintage Premier bongos I have. Sorry, I can’t take a photo because they are...

Re: Slippery sticks

As I have gotten older, my hands (and skin in general) are very dry. I was getting splits in the skin near my fingertips. I started using O’Keeffe’s Working Hands hand cream to repair the splits. ...

Re: Ludwig 1123-1 Hi Hat Question

V,
That looks like a good option. And I did just that with a 1930’s Slingerland hi hat which had nothing at all at the top of the tube. Except, the one-piece cup was from an ‘80’s Slingerland...

Re: Ludwig 1123-1 Hi Hat Question

So Mark, I think I am losing my mind on this:

Can you do me a favor. Look at the first photo I posted. It shows the brass-colored liner I was talking about. It actually protrudes slightly from...

Re: Ludwig 1123-1 Hi Hat Question

Mark,
There’s a brass inner ring inside the top tube at the opening. I would say that the clearance on both sides of the upper rod is closer to 1/32” rather than 1/16”, as you mentioned. Perhaps...

Re: Ludwig 1123-1 Hi Hat Question

Okay y’all, I answered my own question:
I vaguely remember the collar that my old back-in-the-day hi hat had. I went to the hardware store and bought a nylon bushing which had a diameter that...

Ludwig 1123-1 Hi Hat Question

I just acquired an 1123-1 hi hat. It has no means of holding the washer, felt pad and lower cymbal in place. I know theres supposed to be a nylon sleeve there, but cant quite figure out how it...

Ludwig Mach Lugs - do they deaden the drum?

I am still on the lookout for some quality Ludwigs with the long Mach lugs. I know many of you cant look at them without bile rising into your throat, but for some reason, I really like the look....

Slingerfan,
Can you give me ballpark what you think it would be worth? I was thinking of the $1800 range.

Hello learned drum experts,
I am thinking about selling my 1977 Slingerland Classic Rock 61N set in White Pearl. I am wondering what you think would be a fair asking price.

It has a 14x24 bass,...

Re: Anyone ever see these before? Need help IDing!

It appears as though the bottom rim is screwed directly to the pink thang with a countersunk screw. And based on the off-center hole for the tension bolt on the bottom drum, I’d agree that it’s a...
