Re: Rogers clones

Steve Maxwell is one of the key design contributors and backers of the new re-issued Dyna-sonic. He is a true Rogers fan and I don't see him allowing a similar Yamaha fiasco to happen.

Re: Premier Royal Ace COB Piccolo Snare

Very nice looking RA.

As "seantdrums" pointed out, does the snare need a complete stripping down and cleaning? Is there any pitting or dings? If so, how much?

How's the beam floating snare...

Re: Leedys in Dallas

I think the Leedy lug design is so classy and I would love to have a set. Not sure why Leedy drums are not in more demand, especially since there are not many available. Because of this, that 18"...

Re: Fibes SFT690 1974/75

Interesting ... the bearing edges on mine look pretty good.

The chrome wrap looks like a 10 year old took a pair of snips and hacked away.

It's hard to believe Buddy Rich would accept that type...

Fibes SFT690 1974/75

I spent part of the day roaming some Salvation Army and Goodwill stores and a flea market for drums. I think my last stop was a great stop. I was keeping my eyes open for that lonely drum sitting on...

Wanted: Premier 1960-65 Floor Tom Leg Mounts

I'm looking for 3 early to mid 60's floor tom leg mounts (legs not needed). These are the type with the exposed spring and flat lever. Prefer no pitting or rust.

Thanks,

Tim

Re: High bonding double-sided tape?

Use the medium bond tape for the portion of the wrap that attaches to the shell and then some 3M contact/counter top cement to attach the two pieces of wrap. Once the lugs are on, things are not...

Re: Rogers Drums - Is this finish original?

No, but there might be something underneath. It looks like contact paper.

Amazing! I can't wait to see the final pictures with the kit all setup. Again, we're so glad you did not make this a re-wrap.

Representing the Mahogany Duroplastic crowd. There's a little bit of Ludwig and Gretsch thrown in too.

Re: 60's Rogers kit with original boxes on eBay!

For those into dating drums, look closely at this picture. It has a Sep 6 1966 date stamp.

Now look at the details of the auction for the serial numbers:

Re: RK Ducos, Time capsule.

Great find and a better story. You've inspired me to start working on my Rogers Bandstand Duco kit. At least you don't have to re-enforce all of the lugs to make it usable.

Keep us posted as...

Re: At last ... Premier Mahogany Duroplastic Royal Ace Originally Sold With My Kit

Very good question.

It's called "Mahogany" because it's supposed to look like mahogany according to Premier. Duroplastic is the type of wrap.

Premier shells can be multiply birch with beech...
