Rogers Super Ten

In Great shape. No pitting or rust, All original parts except heads.
275 plus shipping.
Did a search on reverb and ebay and this is nicer than any I could find and cheaper.

I got a set of blue and black in 10, 12 13,16 slightly used in a auction lot for 20 dollars. Tried them on some different sets and found that they sound ok it tuned mid to high but they sound dead...

Rogers were 5 ply but switched to Keller shells which the earlier ones were 3 ply. But after a couple years, the Keller were changed to 5 ply. So it is possible that you have 5 ply. My 24 bass is...

Great info. Makes sense about the sizes. I just could not see any sets with the 24 base. Thought I would ask.
I did see in some searching that the Fullerton serial numbers with the B designation...

Rogers set I got, what model is this set

I picked up this set for a steal but can't find a match in the catalogs.
It is a 13,14,16,24 with Super Ten snare. Has small paper tags inside with 9/72

Dean, these drums do look great under lights. Here are some un edited pics I took last night with just a small glow ball light and my wifes phone light app. Imagine what stage lights could do.

The stamps inside had said 64 but I would have to take the head off again to check month, but the badge on the Bass is 50280 and the snare is 50331

It was an Apollo megatone. I posted info and pic in the mij section. Basically a king Beat by star prior to Tama branding. Great drum. So I got 2 great snares in this one auction lot.

So it only took 11 months to finally get these drums delivered to me. I am pretty happy with what they turned out to be. They are a complete 64 Gene Krupa Deluxe NO1 set, but with the 20 13 16 14...

Knob part for first edition Kingbeat/Star strainer

I have a Star parallel strainer on this drum I just received and it has all parts except only one of these knobs. Should be one for both ends.

Yes, You just bought them from me.

They came with an Apollo Megatone snare and Stand.
The Megatone is the precurser to the Tama Kingbeat. They have the exact same Star parallel strainer system...

Yes all the papers in the toms have 9/72 and then a B and then a serial number 23063, 23169,26568. Have not looked at the paper in the bass yet.

Thanks, I looked at the Rogers catalogs for 70s eras, and was not sure. The hardware was making me think it might be 70 Londoner, but you are right, the snare has 10 lugs. Its cool that these still...

I found this great train case. They sometimes have them on goodwill site. anyway it is 9 by 16 so fits snare with room for a little padding. And looks very vintage. With 3 latches, it stays closed...
