Re: 1966 Ludwig Jazz Festival Snare - questions

Ludwig never made yellow marine pearl but other companies have made vintage WMP that is slightly darker than the original White Marine Pearl.

Re: Rogers 1961 wood Dyna-Sonic

Absolutely georgeous! I think that the early B & B lugs were more durable on the Dynasonic snare drums. My good friend had an early WMP Dyna #301 that was perfect too.

Re: Picked up some Ludwig Drums for $100...what do I have?

The clip mount hole pattern should match the Ludwig 60s - 80's classic mount. So, no foul there.

Re: Keystone Badge Ludwig Down Beat Kit in White Marine Pearl

You really cannot compare a Jazz Festival to a DownBeat. However they are asking about twice as much as market value for that WMP Downbeat snare.

Re: Got these today on CL

The snare should be worth at least $25 - $50 if it is operational and not missing any parts. Depends if you need the money or can be a Good Sam and donate it.

Re: Please help me to identify the year and approx. value of Tama Imperialstars

I would agree that $600 is about it. So, you are basically giving away the concert toms. The value is in the Bass drum that seems to be missing parts, the snare and the floor tom.

Re: Vintage Fibes acrylic

Fibes acrylic drums sound great and those are classics. Fibes has a number engraved into the shell near the batter side beveled edge it's hard to find. Anyway, that should help you date them.

Re: Ludwig - Combo Snare Plastic Lugs 3qty

It's not historically accurate...but...You can always replace all 8 lugs with die-cast Ludwig Standard/Rocker or Bowtie lugs. Just sayin'

Re: I Finally Found the Snare I was Looking For - 1941 WMP 8x14 Ludwig & Ludwig "Supe

That is a beautiful find! The case fiber not bake-lite which is a very brittle plastic product. ;)
