Re: Pitting/Flaking Ludwig Supra

I bought some wrap (picture of my choice) from Bum wrap and wrapped it around the snare (Taped the seam) This is what it looks like. Can come apart very easy, didn't affect the drum at all.

Re: 1920's Ludwig snare?

I would say late 20's
Nickle over brass.
10 lugs usually Higher end drum.
All around model?
Not in great shape unfortunately and no strainer.
not an expert just an observational guess.

Re: '66 Ludwig Student Festival

It looks like a drum you can wrap in any color you like.
I have a School festival (62) and it sounds great.
They look the same, What's the difference between the two?

Good idea Mike on the shirts.
I am interested in more info on the 20's W&A snare.
What was the wrap color or was it natural\wood?
Was it Jeremy who had it?
Any pictures?

Re: 1939 CARLTON 6.5 x 14 BLUE RHAPSODY THE “PRINCE” MODEL

Sorry I might of been confusing explaining it, I meant the threads that screw into the lugs not the head of the tension rods.

Re: 1939 CARLTON 6.5 x 14 BLUE RHAPSODY THE “PRINCE” MODEL

Beautiful.
Might be a stupid question but:
How come the tension rods look like they don't have threads?
Are there chrome covers over them? or are they tighten to the max?

Re: Another help me identify this snare thread

That shell is in great shape.
Is it 1 or 2 pc. shell?
The lugs don't seem to fit the drum.

Re: Gold Sparkle Pioneer

Ahh I get it now,.
I thought you were punching the wrap on the snare
A little slow on the uptake.
