Tension rods are plentiful on ebay, I wouldn't imagine a hardware store would keep them.
Cabria rods will be identical

The tension rods are standard 7/32". These lugs are notorious for snapping, one remedy is to change to longer mounting screws than the standard ones as they don't screw far into the lug itself. The...

Correct its an APK, small lug model wasn't released till late 95, it first appeared in the 1996 Rebound 4 catalogue. The shells are wrapped and have a thin layer of MDF (craftwood) under the wrap to...

Quite possibly '74, the 4 digit serial numbers ran from 1970-74 (though not unusual to have badges without them into the early 70's especially on snares)

There were no series back then, simply Premier drums. - the various model descriptions purely refer to the sizes in a particular configuration.

If your referring to the African Mahogany shells then yes they were 3ply (100%) with Beech rings

Swingstar was dropped from the range around late 1988 replaced by the RK series Rockstar. The 'Swingstar by Tama' series was the return of that name in 1994

Taiwanese "Swingstar by Tama" OEM supplier was Wang Percussion from memory. Tama didn't actually have a 'new' factory in Taiwan to make drums, like nearly every other company simply used OEM suppliers

The early Rockstars didn't have the long one piece lugs, nor did the first Taiwanese Rockstar the base model RK series from 1989
