I assume any aftermarket hoop will do, the question I have is thickness. Anyone know which thinkers hoop came on these?

I have a complete 70's 18" Black vistalite tom, only issue is the shell is cracked...was either going to part out hardware or sell as a whole...not sure if this helps you but It's something.

Yeah, definitely an awesome snare. I was just surprised at how much it sounded like my downbeat Ludwig with more bottom. After reading your post it made me want to take some more...

Love mine. Best sounding snare I've ever heard. Had a guy in GC offer me $900 for it when I was in there getting some heads and lugs. Declined politely and went home to play the kit right away.

You like that head though? I tried one on my Pearl kit's snare and didn't really dig it. Maybe it was the drum. It's hard to imagine any head sounding bad on this DB snare.
