Re: Waht Is Carl Palmer Playing Here?

This is probably of little help, but attached is a screen grab of Carl's snare and another photo found online. Any ideas on what model this could be?

Re: Waht Is Carl Palmer Playing Here?

Hi,

I haven't posted in a while, I'm friends with ELP's archivist and he asked Carl what snare this is.

Re: Original SRC Rogers Holiday Drum Set Value?

I emailed him a month or so ago, never heard back. I guess they've been sold or he changed his mind. I thought maybe you knew the son and could find out what happened to the kit. Thanks again.

Re: Original SRC Rogers Holiday Drum Set Value?

Any chance that these drums are for sale? I'm a Detroit based drummer and really enjoy the musical history of the city. The SRC website is great! Thanks for your time.

Re: Zickos drums

Slingerland,

Pro level for sure. I bought a 70's vintage Zickos set last year and couldn't be happier. The bass drum (18x22) is a cannon. Just make sure to check for cracks and spider-webbing...

Re: Tama Rosewood Snare

I bought a 6.5x14 on the 'bay about a year ago for $400. Only missing piece is the muffler knob. The rolling strainer is intact. Love this snare!

Re: Tama Mastercraft Rosewood snare

I tried that, they said Tama couldn't help because the parts are obsolete etc... I'm taking it to a friend who may have the correct fasteners - wish me luck!

Re: Buddy Rich and...me

Thanks again for checking out the clips.
EricP, the "Not So Quiet" solo reminds me of a very hyped up "Sing, Sing, Sing" where Krupa would play matched. It's really the only solo I've seen Buddy do...

Re: Slingerland Buddy Rich Snare 4x14 questions

Re: Slingerland Buddy Rich Snare 4x14 questions

Wow, yours is immaculate! Beautiful. It looks like mine was cleaned with steel wool at one time! I need to find a stickchopper hoop for the top.

Re: Slingerland Buddy Rich Snare 4x14 questions
