Re: Rogers Swivo Matic Swan leg H-H stands lot

Mikey,

I've been told that new inserts would cure the problem on the BD and I can just cut down the T-rods to the correct length. Do you happen to have any inserts that match up with the T-rods...

Same here Mike, I have sent you emails and PM's about incorrect size T-rods that I finally received from you and have yet to receive a reply.

Re: Drums and parts sale lookie here...

Buckrub, that bass drum look VERY similar to mine (even the wrap looks similar, just a different color), although mine is a 14x20. Even the lugs look the same.

I would love to have it seeing that...

Re: What's a typical MIJ snare fetch?

I know I paid too much for my snare ($75, I know I know), but it is a perfect match for my kit and thankfully, it looks and sounds great, even though it's a 6 lug. Very crisp and loud. I'm still...

Re: Need Keystone 60s Ludwig. Will Trade Gretsch Catalina Maple

Ouch! I think my Catalina Birch set sounds (and looks) pretty good for a players kit to drag around to gigs, but even I know better than to ask to trade them for a vintage anything on a Vintage Drum...

60's Ludwig Ringo set in action

I hope you'll excuse all the tape on the cymbals and incorrect period logo on the BD (not to mention the crappy picture), but I just found this photo in a box and had to share. We were the house band...

Re: Complete Tiger Pearl Kit For Sale

Whew. Common sense prevails, on this forum at least. Surf, keep us posted on his success (or lack thereof) in selling them. I just can't help but wonder that there's someone out there with more $$...

Re: Complete Tiger Pearl Kit For Sale

Wow surf I'm biting my fist. 4 c-notes. Who would think that they would go for that, but after my investment in hardware and a snare (in the works!), I'll have close to $200 already in my kit. One...

Re: Cymbal Cleaning

Years ago, a veteran pro drummer turned me on to Amway metal polish, and I've used it ever since (no, I'm not a salesman, and neither was he lol). Never on my vintage K's, mind you, but I sold them...

Re: Zildjian on HC's "How it's Made"

WOW. I've sure been outta the loop! Looks like I need to visit a drum shop that carries many different brands and try them out. I've been a Zildjian snob for too long.

Re: 30's/50's American White Marine Pearl Kit

I've wondered what a combined set would look and sound like, as it's probably the closest that I'll get to a vintage American kit since selling my 67 Ludwigs. I think all the wraps, although...

Re: vintage Ludwig Bolwing ball blue Project tom, complete! CHEAP! $65 shipped!

What great timing! I've been meaning to post this in the Restoration forum, but I just couldn't resist. Round, you mention "a little" elbow grease? I recently came across a couple of drums that were...

Re: Well, not to buy, but it is time...

Well if it checks out I found a 4 pc Kadence set 12-13-16-22 at a local pawn shop and the guy would sell it to me for 80 bucks. It didn't look like it needs much work to get going. It's all there. I...

Re: Zildjian on HC's "How it's Made"

Would that be the Istanbul Agop brand, or are there other brands hand made in Turkey? I've heard of the Istanbuls, but never played one. http://www.istanbulcymbals.com/

I think that I once read...

Re: What Year are these Ludwigs??

I've seen a set of these years ago and if I'm not mistaken they bore the 60's keystone badge. I love the purple sparkle.

Zildjian on HC's "How it's Made"

Just wondering, did anyone catch a recent "How it's Made" on the Science Channel where they covered cymbals? They visited the Zildjian factory. I now know why a good set of A's, K's etc. are so...
