Re: Slingerland Cordova

Is this the same as the Leatherette? Is that leather? I would say the value would be similar for any regular more common Slingerland of the period. Just mu opinion. Cool though. I loved their denim...

Re: Ludwig 1968 Acrolite

My 1969 Acrolite is my favorite of all my snares. Who would have thought they would have been held in such high regard 50 years later?

Re: Steve Gadd Gary Katz Aja drumming

I was surprised to know Gadd drummed on Rupert Holmes' "Pina Colada" song. Correct me if I'm wrong. But that tune bubbles nicely b/c of Gadd's work.

#1 for me has always been professional drummers that wear shorts on stage because they think nobody will see their legs, or care for that matter. I think it's unprofessional and ugly. They've all...

Re: What are the rarest Slingerland wraps/finishes from th 60's-70's?

I think I've only seen one denim-wrapped Slingerland. From mid 1970s I think.

Re: RIP Neil peart

Interesting story. Limelight and Tom Sawyer were filmed there as well. Sad for Neil and family and Rush Nation. And sad Le Studio was left to rot..

I shipped a 4 piece kit to California from PA at a UPS store and cost was close to $600. Which is insane but the buyer was ok with it.

Re: My First Slingerland Kit

The bass drum is serial 101xxx, the floor tom 105xxx and smaller toms 104xxx. That makes it mid 1970s right?

Re: Age

I would regard anything 1989 and older as vintage. Just my opinion.

Like a mid 1980s Yamaha Steve Gadd-era kit. That wold be sweet and vintage.
