Re: This is the Display Your MIJ Drums Thread

That's a very neat wrap on those Kenwood. Don't recall seeing that badge before either.

Re: Humble Collection of Old A, Italian, and misc.

That's about right on the price of the 26" Dave. I think they first showed up in the '49 WFL catalog at 82.50. Then again in the '53-'54 Leedy & Ludwig at 84.00. Great cymbal collection Dave.

Re: Cocktail Drum Outfits

I have yet to score a nice cocktail drum itself. I sure like them though. I do have this late 60's Star (pre Tama) Starfield Cocktail Outfit. It features a 16" bass drum and a bass mounted snare...

Re: Ludwig Standard Aluminum Snare Drum

Yes, you could choose the anodized aluminum finish, chrome finish or matching 3ply wood snare.

Re: Identity zildjian Avedis cymbal

It's 50's or 60's. I would normally say 60's but without seeing more of the cymbal or knowing the height of the stamp, can't say for sure. One of the 50's large stamps resembles this as well but is...

Re: 1960s Ludwig Spur-loc hi-hat Rod

I have owned several 17" A crashes. Something about them. They really sound nice. Sounds like you found a good one.

Re: Keystone badge turns silver after cleaning?

Ludwig/WFL has actually had some keystone badges that were silver in appearance. Any pics of the one in question?

Re: Beware of this seller!!!

I've had this happen to me a couple of times. It sucks. I will say this though. Some buyers also contribute to this by not following through with their end of the deal. Certainly not the case here,...

Re: Need opinions on Ludwig Supra

Two big factors will be condition and whether it is the pointy badge or rounded corner edge. Nice 6.5s with the pointy badge bring a serious premium and have been for years.
