It depends on which brand MIJ. There is quite a difference between some of them. And also differend steps like student and pro kits.

And at the end it comes back to what one is willing to pay for...

My snare (i'm not sure if its a SD-5 because of the flip strainer. The SD-5's had a regular strainer and adjustable butt right?)

Just to add to the matter. That tom is an all original 200 (C) series in a Blue wrap (the name was only Blue, you also had Red, Gold and Silver.

My bad. I read 9 instead of 8.

So that isn't correct indeed. Which mean they were made between 1987 and 1990 (this because starting from 1990 the 3 digit prefix was used)
