I would never do this myself. Would a furniture restoration shop be able to match the nitron lacquer. or would an automotive paint shop be more appropriate

ALUM= aluminum
TF=triple flange
DC=die cast

Premier 6021 Vs. 2000

I have a 1975 6021 alum snare and a 1978 2000.
The 6021 has a center bead and TF hoops and the 2000 has the flow beam and DC hoops.

It has 8 slotted lugs; stick save hoops; center rod; and 2X10 snare wires.
Also, is it alum or brass. I know if it is a 2000 it is probably brass but how could I tell for sure.

TB hoops were made for calf skin as were the snare beds on the earlier snare. the Powertone has different beds and the rims are closer to the head. I think that would make it more sensitve
