Re: Ludwig Bass Hoop Inserts

I'm hoping to find someone who has some of the original. Someone posted on here a while back that they had hoops with the gold mist inlay, but my attempts to contact him have been unsuccessful.

Pictures are worth 1,000 words. If you post some decent pics, the good souls on this site can better help you determine the value.

I'm personally a fan of keeping kits together. I hate seeing...

Re: Ludwig Bass Hoop Inserts

I believe this to be "Gold Mist" standard wrap, circa 1969. Can anyone confirm or deny?

It is VERY orange and doesn't appear to have faded to that color, as the wrap is very consistent in all...

Ludwig Bass Hoop Inserts

I just came into possession of a late 60's standard kit in Orange(?) sparkle. It has one of the original wooden bass drum hoops minus the insert and the other is non-original.

What is the best...

Re: Red Sparkle KB Ludwigs

I am the furthest from an expert that there is, but based on my recent findings, are those not Ludwig Standards? The lugs look like standard lugs to me?

At any rate, nice kit! Best of luck with...

Name This Snare...

Is this an acrolite? If so, what is with the finsish. Was thin gun metal finish stock or has this been painted.

Does this snare have any value?

Thanks

This is funny.

I will vouch for JohnnyRingo, as I know he sells quite a bit around here.

As the current owner of the kit in question, I can confirm it has some cosmetic issues as stated by JR....

Re: Ludwig Blue Oyster Pearl Drums

That makes sense since I'm in Austin. I would love to know a bit more about the history of these drums (and where the mysterious tom mount went)...maybe I'll PM him directly.

Thanks!

Re: Ludwig Blue Oyster Pearl Drums

Probably the 13 to this set :-) No tom mount, and I'm not really into 2 rack toms anyway. Thanks though!

24 inch BOP kick? I would be interested in that!

New Beat key hole

Would you be concerned with this key hole on the top hat? What should this do to the value. Guy wants $125 which seems steep for a keyholed nb.
