That pic is owned by my buddy David who is actually the owner of the VDF, hence the watermark. I have in my collection .. from the same photo shoot .. the actual catalog shot, but without BR in it...

Buddy's sticks were NOT large actually. I have in my BR collection, a nice sampling of all the models he used between 1950 and 1982. I'll attach a pic. His stick was what I like to call a modified 7a...

JUST the snare rash on the 9X13 alone would mean very little .. you are correct in stating that this type of "damage" isn't all that unique .. however, in this case it's another link...

Could very well be! .. but .. fade/yellowing still don't seem to be EVEN on many sets/drums, and that's what is so odd given that the exposure on my 1966 Rogers was with all drums...

I was talking about that yesterday with the owner, as he asked the same thing! Buddy's only requests on his sets were clear varnished interiors and NO tone controls. He had no preference on vent...

Well, even more with some of his tension variances on his bass drums! In the simplest of terms, Buddy pretty much stayed with no pre muffled heads on his bass drums. REMO coated Ambassador...
