Re: Concert tom "flashing"?

They certainly do look like they were probably from the same supplier as Slingerland used.

Re: Ludwig or Rogers.

I LOVE Dynasonics and know how to tune them. Still, many drummers just don't want to be bothered with the extra steps required to properly adjust them. I get it. As for the comment about the issues...

Re: How is the Remo Classic Fit?

This is EXACTLY what Remo has accomplished with the Classic Fit head. The overall diameter hasn't changed, but the "flesh hoop", which is the metal hoop, is thinner on its inside diameter. I've heard...

Re: RIP Hal Blaine

My generation grew up on all the hits by Hal and the Wrecking Crew. I can't thank you enough for the drumming you leave behind. RIP Hal and my thoughts go out to your family and friends.

Re: Anybody know what this is?

It's the No. 558 cowbell holder! I found it in the 1922 Ludwig catalog at drumarchive.com. It looks pretty darn good for its age!

Here's a link... http://drumarchive.com/Ludwig/

Go to the 1922...

Re: Ludwig or Rogers.

I've never owned, or played, a Black Beauty, but I do know it is a wonderful snare drum. I believe that the years you are talking are very desirable. Post some pictures when you get it!

Re: Ludwig or Rogers.

Two completely different drums! I've heard good things about the new Dynasonic snare drums. Still, since you mentioned that you want a snare drum that you will play regularly and, hopefully, become...

Re: Mark Daus

A Google search turned up a Mark J. Daus, from St. Louis, that "fell off a cliff during a hike on Camelback Mountain" in Arizona in August, 2018. Is this who you are referring to? Some additional...

Re: WTB Trump MIJ Badge

Hey grantro! Wow, still looking since November, 2017?!! I'm sure your search is being hampered by a few facts; 1, just not many Trump drums out there. 2, how many of those badges were actually...

Re: Question on spring tension - Ludwig 1124 Atlas hi hat

Hey Marty! Pismo Beach! You're close! Yeah, we've had way too much rain! I'm retired, too.

Glad you repaired your 1124 and that it's working well. It's a great hi hat stand!

I remember about...

Re: Ludwig P88/P35 Review

Here are a few pictures of the snare drum the new Ludwig parts will go on. The shell is a NOB (Nickle On Brass) 5x14 Worldmax shell, with all the Ludwig parts from a Blackrolite that had misplaced...

Hi all!

A recent post by member "frantic freddie" got me to get off my keester and start this thread about the new Ludwig P88/P35 throw-off and butt combo. I had already taken pictures, but was...

Re: Ludwig P-88/P-35 vs Blackrolite

BTW, Ludwig only states that it is a replacement for the P-85/P-33, NOT the P-32. If you need to replace the P-32, you have to tap the existing holes on the new P-35 to 8-32. Here's a link that gives...

Re: Ludwig P-88/P-35 vs Blackrolite

Funny that you mentioned this upgrade! I just did the same to a custom NOB Worldmax shell I purchased and transfered the hardware from my Blackrolite. I got around all the mounting issues. Not too...

Re: Question on spring tension - Ludwig 1124 Atlas hi hat

You're welcome, Marty! It's raining here in "sunny" southern California, so it was a great time to just wear sweats and set up my 1124 in the patio for pictures. I haven't used the 1124 in some time...

Re: Question on spring tension - Ludwig 1124 Atlas hi hat

Part 2!

The first pictures shows that I have 1/2" of spacing between cymbals when I set the adjuster at my preferred tension. I set my tension so the top cymbal doesn't compress the spring....

Re: Rogers Drums "In Round" Tolerances

Hi Dan,

I'm not aware of any published specs that Rogers adhered to in regards to the "out-of-round" tolerance. Was this something they actually checked for? I can't answer that. However, I would...
