Simple, turn the pedal over an at the bottom of each spring tower you'll see slotted screws...any decent flat headed screwdriver will do the trick.
Just make sure both tension screws are adjusted...

Sometime ago I reached out and sent pictures to "Precision Drum"...they had no solutions to the 'flat spots' around the shell. :(

Quiet that squeak for many gigs > go purchase a bottle STP oil additive. and with a toothpick etc but a dot or two at the link connections = squeak gone and for a long time...this works good on the...

Sorry for the hijack but, seriously...my 1979 White Cortex Luds are just any-old formica, but what about different glosses?
14x14 rack, 26x16 BD, 18" & 20" floors.

I use my original 1977 Atlas 'Tom' stand with a 'RIMS' on a 13" Power-Tom or at times my 14x14 tom and it works GREAT > snare stands KILL a toms...

However the bearing edges are tight.

One more picture...this 'flat area' happens in a few locations on both batter and reso side.
The full kit is in immaculate cosmetic condition, however when delivered Ludwig pulled a dirty trick on...

Question Warped Shell Fix???

Hi all, this is my 1978 20" Ludwig floor tom.
It's been this way since new in 1978, tough to tune and this defect always bothered me.
Can it be fixed?
