What is the correct width for a Keystone era bass hoop? I have seen both 1.5" and 1.75", but one or the other may have been a replacement. Does anyone know for sure?

Also, is the...

Ludwig Standards with Resocoat and date stamps?

Greetings,

Found these on Cragislist. Seller wants $850. Pretty steep in my opinion, especially since they have no bottom heads OR LUGS!

Anyway, those don't look like Granitone interiors to...

Playing (preying) on the nostalgia factor........

Ok, not saying this good or bad or indifferent, just looking for opinions....

The "new" Ludwig Jazz Fest's that came out last year are obviously throwing back to the Jazz fest's of yesteryear. ...

Is Steve Maxwell still making reproduction parts?

I was looking at his website and I couldn't find any of the reproduction replacement parts that he usually has, like the Ludwig L-arms and rail mount parts. I did a search on the website and...

Re: Original Zildjian Hollow Logo design?

Hello,

Actually, the hollow logo dates back to 1976. Zildjian had a series of "Rock" cymbals with a special font to celebrate the bicentennial of 1976. They had a special, "one time" font on the...

Re: Ludwig Pioneer vs. Ludwig Jazz Fest

Thanks for the responses. So I guess I was thinking correctly.

Did they each come with the same "fixins" (IE muffler, strainer, butt plate)?

Did a Pioneer or a Jazz Fest come with a certain...

Best way to clean up Ludwig Resocoat (aka white painted interiors)?

Greetings,

Anyone have any tips for cleaning the interior Resocoated Ludwigs? Just a damp rag or mild soap like Dawn?

Thanks for the suggestions!

Ludwig Pioneer vs. Ludwig Jazz Fest

Hello,

Please forgive this rather rudimentary question, but is the only difference between these two models the lug configuration? (Pioneer has 6, Jazz Fest has 8)?

Are they made of the same...

Re: Slingerland Black Diamond Pearl

Agreed. I've also used a small piece of Rubbermaid Shelf Liner and that really helps it stay more stable.

New old school hardware from A & F

It's really easy to dismiss this company (and their founder) as a hipster doofus and being an overpriced drum maker that no one asked for and for just being.....well........ too cool for school.

Re: 13"x4.5" Arbiter Advanced Tuning Snare

Very cool! Like two giant hose clamps that tune the drum!

I wonder why that system never got traction. You'll have to give us your thoughts about tuning.

Look great and nice sizes and a cool, rare-er wrap!

I'm not a fan of the offset lugs. One thing to watch out for is the lug at the bottom center at the reso side bass drum. You have to adjust...

Re: Good Price on Acro

These have steadily gone up over the last few years. About 10 years ago you could find them around $100 or so.

Now, $150-$175 or so seems to be the going rate.
