Re: Ludwig blue/olive non serial # badge question.

[QUOTE=zenstat;Everybody slow down and take a deep breath and repeat after me: this is not about fake badges and RCI "Vistalite" shells. This is a discussion about whether or not there exist BO2...

Re: Ludwig Tequila Sunrise 6 3/4x14 Snare

I get your point. What I should have posted is "Here is some info that may further verify that this is a fake badge". The info is new to me and maybe to others as well. Thanks to KCDrumDad and...

Re: eBay listing that infuriates me!

This is the question everyone should be spending their time on. What do you say Hobbs, idrum4fun, DrumBob, Boslover, O-lugs, jda, V-more2000 and even JRingo: What's an unmolested original worth?

Re: eBay listing that infuriates me!

O-Lugs, you make some good points but your statements regarding the OP are incorrect. Just to be fair, member idrum4fun is the OP and he was not overly confrontational nor did he reference the...

Re: K. Zildjian Constantinople...the worlds most sought after cymbals

Hitchcock actually made this movie twice. Originally in 1934 and then again in 1956. The screen shot is from the 1956 remake filmed in Technicolor.

'71 would be expected for that serial per Rick Gier's dating guide.

Re: Ginger Baker

The decades of drug use don't help either and he's not a young man. Sad to hear.

Re: Ludwig Tequila Sunrise 6 3/4x14 Snare

Very subtle differences. The circled "R" also appears to be more toward the left than the originals. It would be nice to have some input from KCDrumDad or mlayton on this.

Re: Ludwig Tequila Sunrise 6 3/4x14 Snare

Hey Mark, I find it interesting that there appears to be two different badge placements. Two of the pictured drums have the grommet hole centered on the lugs and two have the grommet hole noticeably...

Re: What would be a good asking price?

Move ahead with the project, keep track of all your expenses, add on what you feel is an appropriate amount of profit and that's the price to ask. What kevins and the others are saying is you are...

Re: Experienced & veteran rehab guys-stripped lug troubles

Helicoil metal thread inserts. Not particularly cheap or easy but a quality repair and you should be able to use the original fasteners.

Re: 1960 Slingerland Kit

Based on just the one picture, looks like a 5N Swing Master with the optional 14" x 22" separate tension bass drum. Cataloged as a $4.00 option (lol). Very pretty looking kit.

Re: Rogers kit with Dynasonic 1100 in Kalamazoo CL

It is not good practice to use "asking" prices to determine real world value. Only "sold" prices should be considered. "Asking" prices may be a barometer of how delusional or uninformed a...

Re: Slingerland WMP pricing question

Not a Buddy Rich 80N with the additional 12" and lack of second 16" but they are in fact the same drums assuming they are not single lug. Pics?

Re: Slingerland orphan tom - good deal?

The drum in the ad is very late 70's (serial 391xxx is ~'79). The WMP pattern from '73-'86 is different than the late 60's/early 70's pattern. if you want to match your other drums you need an...

Re: Sling set 70s ID potential buy for Dean

+1 with K.O. Mid 70's for main kit (255xxx is 76ish). Snare is a couple years newer (328xxx is 78ish). No glaring inconsistencies apparent in the very limited photos. As an esteemed member here...
