I went through all the Ludwig catalogues available on line and could not find a Pioneer with the engraving on the top hoop.. in the early 30's I found Pioneer as a round badge on the shell.

I often see videos with snare drums tuned at various pitches described as low,medium, high etc. How do these terms relate to fundamental frequencies...
e.g. is low =E3 or med =G3 and High= A or...

I found These Hoops in My Vault... they are brand new

I cannot remember where they came from or how I acquired them.
They are 10 lug, double flange and heavy... 1 pound 13 ounces each.. they are steel (magnet sticks)

Hi,
I actually paid $300 plus $18 shipping.
The drum is in great condition other than a small dent in the bottom hoop which has no affect on tuning.
There is not a scratch on this snare
