Re: Vintage 1960's Ludwig drum set

Guys, don't waste your time dealing with this person, who I suspect is a scam artist. Ignore.

Re: Vintage NOS Meinal Cymbal Set 1980s

The Dragon Ride might be of interest, IF you decide to break the set up. I had one, and recall it being very dark and trashy.

Re: Star Drum Experts Help Please

Good score. Make sure to tell the seller not to send that stupidly huge, tone-killing blanket inside the bass drum, which is unnecessary and will add considerable weight to the shipping box. A...

Re: Vintage NOS Meinal Cymbal Set 1980s

Are you selling them all as a set, or will you break them up?

Re: Slingerland White Satin Flame

Nice score. I'd say you did very well at $350. Some dickhead would probably ask five times that much on Reverb.

Re: Rogers Swivomatic

Dan is the local Rogers guru here, and he's right about the little details. This would be considered a player's set, and yes, they are 100 per cent real other than the changed parts.

Re: Getting a tour of Zildjian today!

The Sabian experience was really eye opening for us. They took us into the vault and let us try out cymbals from a rolling cart of prototypes. Every cymbal we played was killer. Mark Love manages the...

Re: Getting a tour of Zildjian today!

I did that tour years ago and was treated very well by the people at Zildjian, although I was a bit turned off at how fast the cymbals were produced, after I then toured the Sabian factory and...

Re: Dennis Elliott (Foreigner) Cappella drumsticks.

I was using Cappella drumsticks for a while years ago because I could buy them cheap from a local retailer, but they were awful; they broke and warped, one by one. Just horrendous quality. I switched...

Yes, thank you for mentioning that. And doesn't this thread belong in the section on cymbals?

Re: What would make this kit worth $4000???

I would call the local police and report the evidence you have against the guy selling this set. Let them deal with it.

Re: Is someone here selling this stuff?

Someone is a serious hoarder of drums and drum gear. There's good stuff there and some crap too. I would love to look through it though.

Re: NYT Zildjian Article ...

You're welcome. For whatever reason, I no longer feel that Zildjians work for me. I'm always trying them out in music stores, and always find myself saying, so what. I'm rarely impressed. Having seen...

Re: NYT Zildjian Article ...

Years ago, I came to realize that at that point in time, Zildjian's quality had gone downhill as far as I was concerned. I had bought a 21" Sweet Ride off Ebay on the recommendation of a drummer...

Re: Value of 1940s WFL 6.5x14 DUCO all original?

It's worth practically nothing, but I'll be happy to take it off your hands! :)

How's $25? (I'm kidding).

Nice drum.

Re: Can anyone identify this please?

I would definitely get yourself a Ludwig Acrolite. It's one of these famous "go to" snare drums that so many drummers have in their arsenal. It does everything well, and they're so inexpensive.
