The throw looks a lot like INDE drums, which wouldn't be a surprise since Josh, the owner of INDE drum was the engineer behind the new Atlas line when he worked at Ludwig...

Those brackets are only 1/4" thick, not 1 & 1/4"...

If your screws are too short, they are easily replaced. Take one to a hardware store and purchase 6 more that are 1/4" longer.... pretty sure...

How hard is it to remove the bottom ring on a 6-ply Ludwig concert tom?

Is it glued on or just riveted?

Would it be easier to just cut the shell off?

Yep, looks like someone painted a DR-1 black. You can fit 2 kicks under there carefully. I have a pair of 22's under mine for my electronic kit.
