Does anyone know a source for one? I've looked high and low with no success. All of the ones you can find have the big USA in them, which is not correct for my kit. It's a mid-60s BDP Super Beat...

I had this drum appraised. The appraiser dated it from the early 60s, but it has no date stamp or serial number. The keystone badge has the old-style Ludwig logo which reads at the bottom Ludwig Drum...

It's actually in a bedroom devoted to my drum collection, but it has been suggested that I display in my living room before. I may just do that, as it definitely is an interesting thing.

Yeah, I took the new head along with a photograph of a bass drum from the 20s, and a tatoo artist painted the head for me. Love the way it turned out.

Posted this on a Facebook Ajax site. The consensus was that both the throw and the butt were Ajax and original to the drum. They have to be, because it's such a perfect fit. Anyway, the Ajax throw...
