Re: What's going on here?

He did chop the price down. It's a nice weight for a 22". That should be a good one. I'm currently bidding on a 21" Avedis. The seller just uploaded one photo and didn't mention the weight, but I can...

Re: 14 and 6/8ths of an inch Cymbal???

I've used a similar type mismatched pair before with a smaller top hat and the bottom hat ended up cracking. It was a thin bottom and I've never cracked a cymbal before, so I put the crack down to it...

Re: 14 and 6/8ths of an inch Cymbal???

Well, I tried to upload 3 photos, but apparently the third photo was too large and the site couldn't handle it. There's two photos there anyway. One of the trademark and the other showing the lathing...

14 and 6/8ths of an inch Cymbal???

I purchased a Super Zyn that was advertised as 15", but it's just under 15....

Re: Old K Stamp Identification.

Thanks Zenstats and Steff. It sounds like the past. That's for sure. Very Baby Dodds or something like that. It's exactly 15" in diameter and not some oddball size which is nice, but seriously light,...

Re: Old K Stamp Identification.

Thanks so much. That's what I thought too, but I just had to confirm it. Now I just have to find a use for it. I got it to use as a Top Hi Hat with a 1012 gram Avedis, but they're not really a match...

Old K Stamp Identification.

Hi all. Just wondering if anyone could identify what type K Zildjian stamp this is.
The cymbal is 15" and weights just over 600 grams. It's so thin that it has warped. If you look at the profile it...

Re: Ludwig Standard Lugs Switcheroo

Thanks fellas. I actually cleaned the heads. Hey, it worked! Why not? The batter head was scuffed up with stick marks and someone had doodled on it with a pen. (Why do people always do that?) It...

Re: What era is this Ludwig head from?

But.... It is a reissue of the older heads. I have a snare from late 60's with the same logo.

Here's some photos. Whether they upload to the site or not is another thing. I'm on my phone here, hopefully they upload. This site won't allow images larger than a megabyte or so....

Re: Ludwig Standard Lugs Switcheroo

You're right. I'm looking at the snare now and the lugs are cool! They're a good snare drum. I've never owned one until just recently when I picked this thing up. It sounds nice! Definitely up there...

Ludwig Standard Lugs Switcheroo

Hi all. I'm considering swapping out the lugs on my Ludwig Standard metal snare drum. I like the lugs that are on it, but it might look better with different lugs. Can anyone suggest any Ludwig lugs...

Re: Rogers dyna question

I always associate the Big R drums with the 80's when everyone was using Remo Black Dot heads and Pin Stripe heads and concert toms. :-D

Re: Zanchi Cymbal

You'll probably find that it's not bang on 18". They were metric sized cymbals. They're nice. I like them a lot. I see quite a few pop up here in Euro Disney land, eh, Europe that is. An 18" like...

Tell her she has two kits and try buy one. Personally, I do prefer the one with the centre lugs and massive tension rods. It's kind of like a Club Date set. This reminds me - I recently bought a...
