Exact Year and Model for this WFL Bass and Snare?

5 Attachment(s)
Hello! I'm try to correctly date this WFL Bass and Snare. My guess currently is that it is a late 1950's model. The snare is 5.5x14 and the bass is 14x22. There doesn't appear to be any extra holes for any tom or cymbal attachments. I have the muffler, spurs and what seems to be a possible cymbal or tom attachments that only clamp on to the hoops of the drum for mounting extra stuff. I don't know if that helps identify the model or not. I can't see any dates printed on it so it's been hard for me to find a solid way for me to correctly identify it since some of the info on the internet is varied or not consistent. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

post pics of the badges, but from the wmp pearl pattern it does appear to be the late 50's.

Thanks for taking the time to look at them! I sure don't know anything about dating wraps so that could be a dead giveaway. I tried to get the badge in the one photo, but since I was only allowed 5 attachments, I didn't include a close up of it. I'll do that now that now though. Thanks again!

Yes this is the last WFL badge, your snare drum is the real Buddy Rich super classic snare drum

Unless, i'm overlooking something, that should be the 48-52 badge, right? It's the one with the Damen Ave address on it. The last one from 55 on had Ludwig Drum Co. Chicago U.S.A. at the bottom.

Thanks for the feed back guys! I never noticed the address on the badge before being different. That does make it look like at 48-52 version. Well that is awesome that it's the real Buddy Rich Super Classic Snare. The only thing that I've noticed on other Super Classics that I don't see on mine is the internal muffler. There doesn't seem to be a hole for it so I don't think it was missing. It could just be that one year had it and another year didn't though.

Mike is absolutely right. I have some WFL drums with the Damen Ave badge like these pictured above. Late 40's to early 50's seems to be the general consensus.
Great sounding drums!

Thanks again for the info guys! I'm starting to wonder if the bass drum might be a different year than the snare even though I acquired them together. I can find the styles separately but I never see them sitting together as part of the same set. Most of the sets I see with my version of the snare seem to have a bass drum that has holes drilled for the legs as well as cymbal mounts built into the drum. My bass drum doesn't have any extra holes. It came with cymbal mounts and spurs than clamp on to the bass drum hoops. It may forever remain a mystery. Glad to know I've got them narrowed down to a few specific years at least. Thanks again!
