The ultimate Rogers score from last weekend

Hello VDF friends
Some pics of the drums from last weekends acquisition.
I'll know more of the history of the drums soon but I believe they were part of large Roger's collection in the northwest from many years ago.
The drums are in amazing shape with some minor issues typical of a kit that was played. (a few minor scratches, some dark spotting in wrap) but overall this set has held up well over time. No extra holes or wrap lift or really any issues. Some of the original heads on the toms as well.
I am not sure what the model would be as these sure are many options but I believe this kit may be a Luois Bellson Citation No. 2840 Outfit.
However, the Top Hat is the only kit that shows 2 toms so I think the it may a special order of some sort.
Drums are as follows:
14x20 Holiday BD Cleveland OH tag sn: 36778
9x13 Holiday tom Cleveland OH tag sn: 36775
14x14 Holiday FT Cleveland OH tag sn: 36785
8x12 (unsure model) Dayton OH tag sn:111392
5x14 Powertone Cleveland OH tag sn: 3727
5.5x14 Dynasonic (no paper tag) sn: 3557

I'm guessing these would be around 1965 but I'm still learning all the Rogers history.
Any thoughts on the model or year appreciated.
I can tell you that they sound excellent and their first gig in many many years is TONIGHT! Jump For Joy

Spectacular acquisition! Just beautiful.

Can you confirm something for me? It appears that the bass mounted tom holder is secured with only two bolts. Is this true, or are there four and I just can’t see them on my phone?

Thanks.

Josh

As usual a stunning set and some very desirable sizes/models. Three of those drums have incredibly clustered serials. Whatever model kit this is it almost certainly started out around those three drums. Can not wait to hear from the Rodgers experts. Congratulations!

Amazing setup!!! Those Holiday serial numbers put the date of manufacture around late 1963, just after the transition from B&B to Beavertails (Holiday #35327 has B&B lugs). That collet and Knobby configuration doesn't match any stock catalog setup of the period, but the selling point of the Swivo hardware was that you could customize any configuration to fit your needs. (you may want to replace those Fullerton cast collet noses with the earlier machined noses).

Everything there looks brand new, almost pristine. Is that the original Green Glass Glitter wrap or a rewrap? Can you tell us any more about this particular set?

Thanks for sharing. That green Dyna alone was worth the price of admission.

Mike
